These projects always die out and rather quickly too, you should just work on a PC version instead of the PSP seeing as how it’s slowed down homebrew wise. There were some awesome 3D homebrew games some people tried to get going, I only recall seeing an RPG of sorts with the most work done to it.
There should a couple of youtube videos of the RPG game, if it’s still on there.
problem with homebrew is getting the psp to allow it…
aint no way in hell im fucking with my battery and memory card to get a pandora battery and magic memory stick…too risky, damn psp cost me $50… (newest model at the time, 3001)
and this will allow my PSP 3001 to run homebrew (and other less “legal”) games without having to make a pandora battery and magic memory stick?
Depends on what current firmware you’re on. As far as I know pandora battery’s are a thing for older models now, there are a couple of new ways. Just look around for a guide based on the newest CFW or ChickenHEN. Otherwise, yeah your psp has the newest motherboard I’d assume and you would have only wasted money on a panadora.
You might have to still do the magic stick though, I could be wrong but you can easily make that yourself and you can’t fuck it up.

If your firmware is 5.03 or less, yes. Don’t upgrade your firmware, by the way. New exploits come out frequently.
yes…I never update…I buy used games which apparantly never need any better firmware…(buy 2 get 1 free, and when using an Edge card makes it even cheaper)

And when it works, if you shut your PSP off, you’ll have to go through the process again, as it’s not a full crack for the PSP 3000 series yet.
So I suggest leaving your PSP on sleep mode.
You’ll be able to pirate games, play emulators of NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, GameBoy/GameBoy Advance, PS1, GameGear, N64 (To an extent), and some more that I can’t be arsed to type, play homebrew games, and those ports of id games that run on everything from your toaster to your iPod like Quake, Doom and Wolf3D.
