Someone is offering the Nvidia FX 1600 (with 256MB) realy cheap… could anyone of you supply me with some data about it? Seems to be a quad / cad card. Best wishes…
You can get a Nvidia Geforce FX 5500 for less than $30~50 nowadays.
Its a good card (I have one) but I wouldn’t recommend it for graphic heavy games made past 2003.
The FX 1600 is alot newer… X.x

Quatro is for laptops, its a mobile graphics card. And if its GeForce, its anything but new.

dont we work in GB now? , not MB… just seems a bit low.
I have actually yet to see a video card with over 1GB of built in memory… Most are still 256 or 512MB i’ve seen some that are 768MB and some multiple card setups, but those cost several hundred to thousands of dollars.

Actually it seems the Nvidia FX 1600 is actually weaker than a AGP Radeon 9600, you could easily buy a much better new card for around $50
