This question is for Dangerless, or anyone else interested in emulation.
I am a big fan of the Metal Slug series. But I think all of the metal slug games
were arcade games, right? Were there any Metal Slug games released for the snes? My machine is old and does not like MAME. Can you point me too some Metal Slug that will work on really old hardware?
Edit- I actually found a Metal Slug game for the GBA.
That should work.
Sadly, there isn’t. I can suggest some good games to fill it’s place but I don’t think I need to now for SNES. MAME works fine (A older version) on my Windows 98.
I’ll list all the Metal Slugs on what systems I remember.

I didn’t even realize there were pc versions.
But thanx Dangerless. I got Metal Slug for GBA working and everything but since you say the Mame was working for you on Win98…I am gonna keep trying to get Mame to work me.
I am mostly trying to get Metal Slug 3 to work.
I used a guide that I found on google to help me get it working on my old Win98. I don’t remember it since it’s been about two years or so, you could always check though on google.
It’s that game where you are a slug composed of metallic alloy, your objective?
TUNNEL THROUGH EVERYTHING, YOU’RE A FUCKING METAL SLUG WHATS GONNA STOP YOU?
Actually that sounds like a pretty badarse idea for a game, but Metal Slug is a sidescrolling 2D shooter where you are some army dude.
You get to ride in a distinctive tank every now and then which is called the “Metal Slug”.
The metal slug is a pretty badarse tank (it can jump! can your tank do that?) but I think i’d prefer the game I described earlier.
I haven’t really messed around with emulation too much.
I’ve used SNES9x and a few other emulators…
But now that I have Metal Slug working…I dont remember it being this friggin’ difficult. I keep getting gunned down in my prime.
And I never noticed before, when you save people …they pull power-ups outta thier underwear…I’m not sure I am cool with that.
