Thx for closin thread before I can even answer…
Ok sorry it’s on the forum I hadn’t seen the client download…
But what I wanted to point out is that there is no link to that thread in the “downloads” section of your main page.
"You have to download it by torrent. In order to download the torrent you have to login to the forum once.
Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/graal/public_html/pages/gr-downloads.php on line 17

Oopsie, no torrents!"
All I wanted is to help bring ppl here…
You should know the web isn’t about having the best content but having the best way to share it.
Just going to have this said again before some of the more exhausted members try to lynch you. lol
We still can’t have any direct links to the client because its not our software, if we did, a silly totalitarian french man would find opportunity to come and harass us again.
Alternatively, there’s www.google.com in a few old uploads. However, they’re not exactly syncronized so some could have older “arrays2.dat” data. Existing members typically put it behind them since, usually, they just ask someone else with the client to give it to them directly should they lose it or need a fresh copy.
We know the ability to be “appealing” and “user-friendly” to new users is abysmal, but sadly our hands are tied because of said french-man.
Are we allowed to have links to sites, that happen to have the client on them? Or have anoying threats been recieved for that too?
Linking to the thread in the downloads section could still bring problems??
And that french guy will have to stop paranoying… we’re not offering the same product anymore as his game has pretty much evolved and we’re not offering any paying stuff… well… I guess there’s nothing to do for now…
@Hand
Probably not. But, it’s best not to tempt fate.
@Fredi
Said French guy owns the rights to Graal Online. Even though they don’t support the older versions, we’re still treading on intellectual copyright laws. The fact that the name is there, the images (tilesets, heads, etc…) and the engine are used makes things VERY sticky for us.
Even though you could consider it “abandonware,” it still has the potential to redirect their paying customers to us. This is the driving factor for pursuing copyright infringement. But, they’ve covered their butts enough so that Frenchy can’t officially file anything against us.
These guys have thought of and/or tried everything they can to ensure that things happen they way they can. You’re just going to have to be content with that. Like Beholder said, our hands are tied.
Koroshiya thank you for repeating what I said in the other thread. <3
O.o What other thread?
