Oh my… this one is rough. Baddies / NPCs stop all functions the moment you leave a level. So if two levels are visibly connected you see everything freeze. If the level design is nice then not everything is squared and obviously a boundary. It looks like they stop in the middle of nothing. How are they supposed to chase you or present a credible threat or compelling gameplay? This limitation greatly impedes baddie / NPCs interaction with players.
If you look at Phoenix I want to scream and yell that the outdoor levels are… empty. No hostiles out there. Yet what could they do? What can WE do to address this problem? I don’t know if it is within our power to fix this.
Are there any solutions out there, stopping short of making a new game or NPC server?
I want to create content that has armies marching across maps. Or at least spawning in and occupying levels, but anything I try will suffer from this limitation.
