Probably not. I really don’t see me stopping, though.
I would recommend going open source; additionally, if this project ever does pick up—I’d be interested in sharing ideas with you. I don’t want to see another Graal clone; the concept of Graal is not Graal, but a customizable game world with heads, bodies, weapons, NPCs, levels, etc. We could turn this into something much better.
Out of interest, have you set any time frame as to when you expect to have the client complete?
No. Even if I did, I’m sure it wouldn’t be met. I’m way too random with my interest to work on it.
I would recommend going open source
The main benefit it has is the potential for other people to help development. I simply don’t WANT anyone else working on it.
I agree, and don’t intend to blandly copy Graal.
Btw, you have seen Cadavre’s and …the other person’s name that I absolutely cannot remember at the moment…'s project, right?
Btw, you have seen Cadavre’s and …the other person’s name that I absolutely cannot remember at the moment…'s project, right?
What are their projects? I have no idea what’s going on here apparently. I assumed you were doing an open-source project using the concept of what Graal could be. From the sounds of it, you are doing things your own way, have no interest in doing open-source, the project is on halt and you don’t want anyone else working on “it”? This isn’t sounding interesting.
Jatz is working on another engine (C++) that will be semi-opensource (I’m helping out with this) and I am working on another engine (C#) that will be opensource, which will support Graal assets like levels, maps and ganis, but will have its own formats as well.

It’s temporarily on hold for the first time. It’s not going to be a long duration thing. Everyone’s projects go through the same delays, they may simply not say so. If the open source thing is really such a big deal to you, it sounds like their projects will better suit your interests.

Great; as mentioned, if you would like a hand in coming up with an opening concept—including development and artwork—I might be interested. Is this something you might be interested in?
At least we can all agree that we don’t want to rip off Graal’s Zelda rip off.
Most playerworlds I’ve ever seen generally resemble Zelda. That isn’t an engine issue, that’s an actual game design issue. Actually, in Graal’s case, it’s kind of an engine issue because it defaults to that style. But the point is that people don’t have to stick with it.
Good luck with your projects
I hope this was referring to all of them and not excluding mine (considering what’s already been said), otherwise that was randomly negative.

I see no reason why it wouldn’t include yours, it’s not like it’s a competition or anything.

The previous comments as if a short break and not being open source means it’s doomed to failure or obscurity.
Good luck with your projects
You’re more than welcome to come with ideas for the main game concept that will ideally “sell” the engine. But I have lots of ideas of my own at the moment, but I’m not sure how I would pull it off. I just know I won’t do it in the Graal engine.
Don’t be childish, he said projects, not project.
You described yourself and Jatz as having separate projects. It’s hardly childish to seek clarification. I’d appreciate it if you’d drop your eagerness to throw out mild insults.

Yet, this was posted in your thread. Come on!
I’d appreciate it if you’d drop your eagerness to throw out mild insults.
It was not an insult. I just told you to stop making childish assumptions. Stop victimizing yourself, dude. If I should allow you to say that we’re “taking the easy route” without getting insulted, you should be able to handle when someone tells you to quit the whining. I’m sure you’ll turn this around somehow. Quite honestly I don’t care. I’m just tired of your double standards.
