I wonder if you could implement a “bot” that is on all servers with the first player id so site admins could notify people that are on the servers with updates. I don’t know how we would send these messages, but I was thinking along the lines of:
We have a mysql-table that has the messages and a toggle if the serverlist has read it.
When the serverlist got the message it sends it out to all the servers that is online.
The gserver then message all the users/or admins on the server about it. If the server will use the global message system or not, or if the message only should reach the RCs/admins or all players by a server-option.
Could be useful to announce new GServer releases or updates to the forums and site.
