I remember watching .hack//SIGN when it was on Toonami on Cartoon Network. LOOOONG TIME AGO
Played the first two .hack// games from the first series. The games were redundant and I already knew everything that was going to happen [studied the .hack//Wikia for hella long time], then I played the G.U. series and was liek “OMFG THISH ISH SHWEEEET”

I didn’t read most of this thread.
I just came to post that I stopped watching anime a year or so ago.
And most TV minus what other people are watching.
On the other hand, last night my mother sat through FMA and Death Note because she was interested in the symbolism.
So who wants to read some tvtropes

fukin’ old. I found it weird, her stalker made me laugh.
No! Don’t listen to Foork! He’s a fucking retard!
I never watched an anime before, but was recently prompted to watch Death Note by a friend of mine, and instantly fell in love, finishing the series in two days.
Any recomendations that also take place in a beliveable setting without an excess of karate and ninja shit? I liked the mind games that went on in Death Note.
