So anyone still use the old style CRT tube monitors for anything? My LCD started messing up with 1/3rd of the right side stuck with a pattern of gray lines. So I have pulled out my old 17 inch AOC Spectrum 7 Glr CRT. Surprisingly it can do 1600x1200 and this thing was made in 1999. The colors are also more vibrant and alive and I can view it at an angle without it looking weird. I’ve honestly always preferred a 4:3 or 5:4 ratio over the new 16:9 styles. It does okay so I may be using it for awhile before replacing it. I have several more CRTs laying around but this one is the best I have.
yeah I have only CRTs for television where I live.
I prefer the grain of a CRT screen for most old school games for example.
But the sound they make… woah, ungodly.
