Players can't connect?

Hello, me and a group of friends thought it would be cool to try and develop some kind of game, and the idea of an MMO appealed to us the most, so we went looking for some game engine to start with. I remembered playing Graal back in 2001, and I thought about renting a server from them… until I realized that we would ALL need subscriptions, and then everyone who wanted to play would also need a subscription, and that would be expensive. With all the stuff you can customize in Graal, I thought for sure that there would some kind of private servers for Graal, and then I found this.

So, I downloaded the GServer and got a copy of a Client. I set up the server, and since I was using a Internet -> DSL Modem -> Computer, I set up an account on no-ip and managed to log on to my server myself. I then asked one of my friends to see if he can log on, and unfortunatly he couldn’t. I even set up an RC account for him, but he can’t log into the server using RC either. He was getting a “can’t connect” error, and we isolated the problem to my computer.

I don’t think I will be hosting the server, so this is technically a test server. However, I think it would good to know exactly how to set up a server, and the solutions to some problems that may arise (Like this one) so we can get it off the ground pretty quickly.

So, can anyone help me with my server? Thanks in advance.

Alright, Nalin has informed me that I am on a NAT network, and now I need to port forward. I tried this with a torrent program, and I was unsuccessful. Lets see if I can do it now.

kk, I have port forwarded my modem… I dunno if I have done it right.

The Global port ranges and base port need to be the same for a single port? and that port needs to be serverport under the serveroptions.txt?
