What the hell? I can’t use my tileset, I put it up as pics2.png(Yes I am aware there is already a tileset somewhere with that name, it was only temporary)
and I used,
I only want it for one level, the inside of my house Im making, the picture IS
8-Bit, and has 256 Colors, as I duplicated the original and used some colors that were already there, Im baffled at why the heck the tileset isnt working…
If it helps they are saved to graal_reborn/levels/tiles
and I also have a .gif version in there that I tried because the .png wouldnt work
Considering they look identical save for 6 tiles (use addtiledef2 for that, jeeze)
A large tileset would take a while to download onto the client, afterwhich, then it can start drawing the new tileset onto the level. Use RC2 to upload files larger than 64kb
Also, use playerenters, and check your levels/tiledefs folder to see if it even added the “pics2.png,yenairohouseinside,0” to it’s list
:o I just realised that Im using the new graal editor because the one for GR has tiledef issues, I think that might be the problem scampers off to tinker around
well that didnt work, (I placed pics2.png into tiles of the newer graal(graalonline.com))
How would I go about using addtiledefs2? It’s a bit scary looking
I did have one issue with addtiledef2 where I threw down some mine entry/exits and they didn’t show on the tilemap in the editor but I when I laid the tiles they did show up as the mine tiles I wanted. It didn’t affect anything so I ignored it, that’s the only problem you should have.
Remove the specific name for
addtiledef pics2.png,0;
So it shows up for all levels.
Then make sure the editor knows where the tiles are. It helps to have the level in the same folder as the tiles.
This is what I do to get my tiles to load in my editor. lol I have a folder with all my levels and images.
yeah i was having a lot of issues with people getting a
custom tileset. solution: put it in GR folder? x.x better
one? I tried setting the npc’s img to it to force it to dl…
I don’t really see what you changed I’m not a tileset guy myself i like making it in separate pieces i hate doing it in one tileset it’s out of my interest there is a goof template for one somewhere on the forums I have seen it myself
