I’ve been using Photoshop CS3 to set transparency, but it’s slow considering I’m not the smartest at all on photoshop
But yeah, to set it I more or less copy the image I have created, then I click NEW file with a transparent backround, then after that I go and delete the parts I need to be transparent, but I’m usually to lazy to do this. ( I like to pixel by pixel work things in paint when I actually do draw something)
Anybody want to help me with a WAY to set trans by COLOR with another program or even this program? for png formats? x_x
I personally prefer to use Paint Shop Pro, as it is MUCH EASIER to deal with limited color palettes, transparency, and all that other pixel art stuff.
Truth. Paint Shop Pro is excellent for Palette Control, useful when required to do manual palette swaps.
MSPaint is good trust me I toy around with it all to much LOL ask anybody around me when I’m over at someones house on a computer; But the point is MSPaint CANT do trans.
I have Jasc PaintShop Pro now lets see how well I can adapt ? Oo
GiFFY
Save the image as a PNG in MSPaint. Open in another program and save as a GIF. Open in GiFFY and choose the transparency color. Save as a GIF. Open in the other program and re-save as a PNG.
Interestingly mspaint has a lot of code in it to deal with transparency.
With some OllyDbg hackery it is possible to enable most of it but when used it all crashes.
I have heard that it is actually the gdi+ in windows xp that mspaint is using which is causing this problem. I have tried copying a hacked mspaint from windows xp to windows 7 and it still error however the errors are different lol.
Paint in Vista and 7 have had the transparency completely removed from the code so it looks like Microsoft has abandoned it. They just suggest people use Paint.NET… fuckers.

Always fun taking a screenshot of a movie playing [mplayer2], then pasting it into MSPaint, one of the colors decidedly draws from the same buffer the movie is on.

Stop using overlay mode you tard.
I never like photoshop they added a little to many things there try downloading paint.net much simpler and also(if you have one as i said i don’t like photoshop and don’t use it) you can get the magic wand click on the are u wanna make transparent then delete it or cut it out
