Una Hora - Online 24/7

I want to announce that my server, Una Hora, will be kept running 24/7. The only exception is power failure. It’s nothing to worry about, because it is very rare that I will lose my power.

Since Graal Reborn is not VERY popular, and server hosting is free, I will allow anyone to have LAT rights. Just ask me, *RaMedia (Take note of the atrisk), and I will allow you to sign on RC. Feel free to ask for rights, right here in the forum. Just reply. I will only allow you to upload levels beginning with your account name. Ex RaMedia_TestLevel.nw.

There is not much to do in this server but find secrets and complete a hard quest. Please connect and enjoy!

Sounds a tad gay.

Gee, thanks Spooon. You make things hell of a lot better.
Anyways, People! I will be developing and working alot on this server, so PM my RC, not my player in person, unless I am unpaused and currently active.

You’re asking for trouble by doing that. You’d better keep consistent backups.

Da, like a repeating script that backups levels folder every hour apon the hour…can AutoIt do that?

Oh not unless there are hackers running my server…
I give them only these rights:

rw world/ACCTNAME*
r world/*

However, I do create backups often.
XD And I discovered that my computer restarted unexpectedly
when I got home, so sorry if Una Hora was down… I might have to
run a memory scan. Make sure there are no memory faults.

By giving players LAT access, they can easily overwrite levels and place illegal NPCs off the edges of the maps.

Instead, you should allow submission of levels and you screen them, personally, before uploading. As well, cut and paste the tile data onto a new level and place the NPCs over, manually. That’s the only sure-fire way to keep your world safe.

Hacking has nothing do with it. It’s all common sense within the Graal community.

You’ve given the nubs of GR an idea just now. Good job!

You guys keep reading incorrectly;
Atleast hopefully he modified the GServer and what not to give each player their own set of rights, so they can only edit their own levels. Sure, there can be illegal NPCs galore, but atleast everyone would generally have access to it.
It’s easier to just open the .nw file in Wordpad. You can easily search all the NPCs that way.
Yep, that way your can also grab the invisible no-shield.png NPCs, or other hidden NPCs using a setshape which you can’t grab.

Actually, I didn’t know you could do that. That’s pretty neat.

Yeah. It’s really cool. You can actually see the level in the text.

Check it out.

I see a river with a bridge going over it! omg

wow…you could make an entire world using just notepad…O.o

What’s freaky is that you, actually, can see that in the text as if it were ASCII art. That’s really neat.

But he is correct. It’s a lava river with a bridge.

Wow that actually gave me ideas.

 1. I could create batch files that add certain NPCs to all the levels.
 2. I could create a custom level editor. (Using Visual Basic 2008 - EE)
 3. I could create a map generator, (Easier than using the original)

Bingo.

Do it.

Well I am putting that aside for now, as I am working on a GServer build. Actually, Una Hora runs on it right now… It has some critical updates you will need to read from the server message so you understand how to use functions.

Oh and just so you know, Various, if you are reading this… I changed it back to ‘/setcoat’ for example. Not anything like ‘/coat’ or ‘/set coat’, just the function with the forward slash before it. Thanks.

Also I am implementing usable furniture, such as a lightable stove, a usable fridgerator, so expect more your next visit.
