Vinland

Well, it turns out I’m a liar and the mini-server’s become more of an expedited normal server. Between the story line quests and the more involved scripting, progress has slowed considerably. But it should retain interest better and hopefully nail the classic graal style I’m aiming for.

Quests:
Quests are divided between story and non-story quests. All of the tools for progression will be tied into the story quests and the side quests will be scattered around the map, so if you have the right tool you’ll be able to get to them.

Events:
Events aren’t a priority since I haven’t really seen multiple people playing on any of the servers yet. There’s only one spar room and I started a themed war room, but single player stuff will be far more important on release, so events are on hold.

Overworld:
The hundred-level overworld map is generally complete, with expansion space for the town and a couple areas that I plan on developing into quests. Tile errors are confined to the cliffs and the snow/red forests which I need to either spend extra time on or simply don’t have the tiles.

Weapons:
I’m already stealing from the weapon shop for side quests, but they were the basic upgrade weapons anyway and need scattered. Regardless I need to come up with some fresh weapons, which will probably take me awhile.

Timeline:
I can’t host the server, but I have a friend that might. (But probably won’t) I’m not willing to pay anybody to host it until it’s much closer to completion, so I’d say March in that case. (It’ll take me awhile to script all of the quests/bosses, mini games, weapons/spells, and events. Sort of want to change the weapons menu as well, though I’ll save that for last.)
