What are those Custom tiles?

I came across a thread post that had like 60 custom tiles. are those tiles supposed to be put in pics1.png or just used by themself?

And if the later, how would i use them?

according to this BIBLE!! you could either complile an entirely new tileset then use addtiledef or keep the images as they are and use addtiledef2. Your call -_-
