I’m one of those guys that grew up with the original GraalOnline and finally threw my cards in the trash can with the advent of the iPhone bullshittery.
Sell-outs can’t stick to something that’s good, they always have to abandon one thing with its supporters and venture into another.

Fuck that. I like PC. I like Era and Classic. Minus the i and the Phone parts. And the money draining schemes. And that one scheme where developers make shit for free and tend to the hands and feet for the players at the benefit of someone else making money off that effort.
If something is good, don’t fucking abandon it just for a paycheck. Especially when you’re already pulling in way more than enough that you can live comfortably.
I actually heard from a credible source that Stefan’s launching a system with V6 that promotes ingame purchases where a percentage of the profit is split with the developer who made it.

So. First day playing Reborn… well no, PRIOR to that…
I was kinda daydreaming about how awesome “Graal Classic” was back in the day when it had EVERYTHING- the dagger, the Bruge Bird, the bowling ball (which worked wonders against baddies), etc. So I wondered on a tangent how Reborn is doing… Still remembered its embitterment with Unixjelly and Stefan and all that stuff. So I downloaded it, realized what it ACTUALLY was this time and started going on random servers. Went on one, met two gents who actually had a brain, then went on that Bomy one in the Gold tab and another gent told me that there actually WAS a Graal Classic in the Silver tab.
I hurriedly went there. Sure enough, it started with that famous cutscene I miss so much. I played through until just before the acquisition of the green grail and I was amazed that I hadn’t realized what a STORY the whole thing had. Each quest was linked, each baddy room I got the shit beat out of me in was an extremely perilous and suspenseful moment. And to think that those guys abandoned all that magnificent compilation of bright minds of the past… Seeing its last stand, here, was something beyond magical. Reminded me of my days when I was a trial and I’d do the Ninji quest daily to get the level 2 sword and be proud of it.
I can’t believe what a clean copy of that you guys got. It’s as if you guys went back in time and stole a hard drive or something.
I asked for Graal the Adventure and you guys surely delivered. I’ll invite a select few other people I know into this, including my girlfriend, because doing these quests with not another breathing soul on the server does take its toll.
I’ve also come to realize that the fact that the playerbase is so small here, it’s a more tight knit family, pretty much like an everyone-knows-everyone town in the country. I appreciate that more than a clusterfuck of masses colliding as if it’s all contained within a propane tank, overpressurized, waiting to burst. Best of all, the majority of you have a brain. WOW.
In short, good work. I might do random levels/other content and post them here for free use for all of you. Era didn’t deserve anything I did for them. It was trying to fix a machine that was long due for the scrap heap.
Question, how do you guys manage hosting for the servers and the forum?
maybe it will be worth deving on graalonline then :0 god help us!
