Xbox Graal Reborn?

Hey guys, I was pondering the other day and I was thinking, if graalonline has iPhone graal, why don’t we release a Xbox live arcade game? I was just woundering what ou think, wether you think it’s do-able and if anyone was interested in helping if it did happen. Thanks guys!

Graal Online may be interested in doing so, however I think that they would run into issues with Live being a peer-to-peer service when Graal is so reliant on servers.
It would mean every player is hosting their own servers and the playercount would be as bad as Reborn lol!

Would be possible for PS3 though, not sure how likely however.

If we made our own client in SDL or whatever I could probably port it to 360 for jtags :slight_smile:

  1. We have no own client.
  2. XBLA games can not connect to external servers.
  3. No.

Haha ok guys thanks for the fast response, I guess I was dreaming :stuck_out_tongue:

XBLA games CAN connect to external servers, but you need agreements with Microsoft just to get ON XBLA. The Indie Games marketplace does NOT allow you to connect to external servers.

That’s what I was referring to. And yeah, it’s too much effort for this…

well t was worth asking. What about the Ds or Psp? I think I’ve heard murmerings of people wanting to play graal on them

if anything it would be ezer to do it with sony the microsoft

OR, we could just make a homebrew. But I bet noone here is arsed enough to make an actual client at all, otherwise we would’ve had our own client/game ages ago.

You’re actually been hearing people murmuring about wanting the GServer on DS or PSP.

Actually, one said “We won’t make our own client because it wouldn’t be Graal”

They didn’t say they couldn’t. They said it won’t be graal o;

And it’s true.

2D Game Engines aren’t hard honestly from what I’ve read, it’s just long and you have to go through the annoyance of making multiple programs that handle different things, The Host, The Editors, The Client. First thing to make?
Wouldn’t know, I’m new to C++ and Python(Thanks downsider:>)

Topic locked, the ‘question’ has been answered. It’s also been talked about since forever on the PSP/DS, how about you actually search through topics?
