Yay... Famicom

I just bought a Japanese Nintendo Famicom today.

I got it pretty cheap. Give me your thoughts:

You sir, are way behind.

You don’t know what cool is my friend. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ah well on the plus side you can play imports.

It’s sentimental and cool because it’s the japanese model. :stuck_out_tongue: The european and american version looks nothing alike. :stuck_out_tongue: I have a european original bought by my parents (unfortunately not the box) that I’ve spent lot’s of hours in front of.

I’m going to find and buy the famicom disk-system and the famicom familybasic w/ keyboard when available too!

Whats the disk system for?

Lemme guess:

Roms?

Bigger games, just like the 64DD for Nintendo 64. And/or making your own games.

I love Dragon warrior.

2 and 4 were my all time favs for the NES.

Battletoads!!! YEssss! Deadly game
Heh. I have two NES’ in my room right now. Both are the classic front-loading versions. I also have Dragon Warrior 1-4 and a handful of other awesome classics. I need to re-buy Battletoads. :frowning: I can’t believe we sold that when I was young.
I have:
Skate or Die
Blades of Steel
Solomon’s Key
TMNT2: The Arcade Game
Addams Family
Fester’s Quest
Life Force Salamander
Die Hard
Aladdin
Maniac Mansion
Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest
Metroid
The Incredible Crash Dummies
Tom & Jerry: The ultimate game of cat and mouse
Batman
Captain Planet and the planeteers
Battletoads
The Legend of Zelda
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

more to come… “Gotta catch 'em all”

I have a Super Nintendo too + a lot of games but none of the games are mine, not even the AV-adaptor.

Fleemarkets around here sell games now and then though, so I’m always on a lookout.

American SNES is a must to have too.
