2.) Bugs and Fixes

I’ll get onto it!

This should keep you busy!

During the spar match with Brair, if you press “Q” then close your inventory, you can walk around even before the duel has started. (while you’re still in the disabledefmouvement mode).

“Help, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!” (though not a big deal as you have “unstick me”)

Not much of a glitch, but the other half of the bush is missing <3

All fixed. Took me 5 minutes.

Kid’s still running, update da level!

Part 2 :

Right side is blocked, left isn’t

There are thousands of heads to choose from and you pick the exact same one as me? There can only be one.

You’re right… please find the nearest Tailor Shop, dylan.

This isn’t a bug. You clearly can’t get out of that if you jump in. You deserve to be in there. xP

tricksterzzz, all of you!

Merged doublepost_______________

Menu can be accessed by pressing Q (same problem as before), now the scene is frozen :/.

P.S: add 20 gralats to my account  since I used them for the Beer-Dunking thing and had to exit the room to end the frozen scene.

Re-tried, the menu isn’t what freezes the scene, it just freezes itself at the end, before the bar keeper humiliates him.
Though the menu does allow you to walk around during the scene.

P.S: going to need some more gralats

There seems to be a bug where paying the barkeep to pour beer over Dink’s head in the guildhall doesn’t work. I paid him the money but the cutscene didn’t seem to play out all the way. The guy on the other end of the bar told Dink to calm down and then nothing happened from that point on. I sat there for a solid 5 minutes and left the bar but when I came back it was as if nothing had happened.

Also, it seems to be damn near impossible to make money when you start out. The NPC’s tell me to get running boots to pick berries but I don’t know where or how to get them at all. They also suggest buying a fishing pole but there’s no way in hell I’m gonna be making enough money right now to invest in that. I kinda figured doing the cyclops quest would get me some money or even saving that girl with the anchor. Wound up having to spend an hour chomping down 1,000 bushes with a horse to afford to get the barkeep to pour a drink on Dink Smallwood (which didn’t work). I don’t have a lot of options at the start and it’s kinda making things frustrating. I feel like if I spent my money wrong then there’d be no way to make it back.

In Cloudrest there’s that sliding block puzzle to get the warp stone. I found it a bit too easy to get stuck in other blocks sliding around, especially on the corners. Kinda sucked because I had to “unstick me”, walk back to the dungeon and do the puzzles again twice to finally complete it. I think if the walls were even just one tile farther away from the ice then it’d be okay or have the “restart” command teleport you near the entrance might actually be a better solution.

All in all though I’m enjoying myself. I wouldn’t report these bugs if I didn’t think this server had potential. You guys did an awesome job with the environments and I like your guys’ stance on keeping things difficult. I’ll definitely be sticking around.

You may have completed that part of the quest anyhow, so you should be able to progress. So, it may not be for naught. Check with the NPC that originally asked you about Dink. But, yes. We’ll check into that cut scene. It very well could be bugged! Thanks!

This is definitely a consequence of releasing the game before it’s done. We want money to be hard to get. To make any meaningful money you have to progress a certain way through the quest line.

I recall playing Graal2k1 and having to beg people as a new player for money. As you became a veteran, savy player you had money–and saw the new players come in asking, “where do I get gralats!?”. I.e. new players should struggle for money and as you make more money the more options you have to invest that money into other things that will make you money with less work (Time: Payoff – Berry picking < Fishing). With Phoenix as it stands money is hard to get and there is little to buy with it. The illusion is to separate those have’s from the have-nots, but with the game being so incomplete it does feel to be way unbalanced. As the game fills out, I believe this will achieve the effect we are going for. Just stick with us!

Yes, this is a problem. Could be as simple as a graphical switch so that a player won’t get caught and shouldn’t have to warp anywhere. But your suggestions are also good! We’ll get this fixed as it has been noted before.

This.

Thank you! It’s a slow moving process, but we appreciate you taking the time --playing and pointing things out. The saying goes, “if it isn’t broken, it isn’t Graal”–although we’d like to minimize that as much as possible!

I agree money should be difficult to get. One of the best things I’ve seen servers do back in the day was remove drops from bushes. I’m more than willing to wait for more money making opportunities. Oh and I talked to Dink’s brother and he still hasn’t acknowledged what happened. Do I need to humiliate him two more times? Because Brain is damn near impossible to kill and I’ve scoured the whole world map for Romeo and haven’t found jack.

Bug should be fixed! I’ve set your account to appear in the cut scene so when you log on you should be able to see the cut scene and trigger your flag for the quest. Sorry about all that!

It’s all good dude! The cutscene and everything worked. You and Tricxta have been squashing like every bug I’ve thrown your way. I hope I don’t get annoying.

Also, glad I stuck around. That dungeon after the Dink fiasco was probably one of the coolest dungeons I’ve ran through in Graal and now I have a way to make money. The puzzles were a great challenge and I didn’t have any trouble with them. Now if you’ll excuse me I have some berries to collect.

Not at all! This is useful for us.

Just note you are approaching the part of the game where the story hasn’t really been developed–there should be 4 or 5 more quests after the Running Boots quest and there is little content surrounding them as of yet. They might be particularly buggy because we haven’t spent nearly as much time developing them. So, any input is useful!

You don’t know bugs until you’ve seen some of the stuff I’ve found. And then you think, “How the fuck did he find that bug?”

it’s okay Spooon, we know you’re the king of bug squishing.

It’s cool I knew what I was getting into when I decided to play on this server. I’m glad I could help out.
Not sure if this is a bug or if I’m just a big dumb stupid idiot but the oracle’s telling me to go get the hammer from the moles. I went and checked out the cave and it’s blocked by rocks that I can’t pick up yet.

You may very well be the king of bug squishing. But you won’t be the king of berry picking for much longer.

I’ll have to show you around Bomber Arena to show you what happens when people beat my highscores.

You’ve got everything you need to get into that cave.
