Awesome. You should download Blacklight and play it with me sometime, it’s pretty cool.
Sounds a lot like the stuff I recently got for a friend of mine, except we went with an Intel build though all of my computers are AMD builds.
He also got a Got the GeForce 650, and his graphics kill…I’ll post a pic when I have the time, he also managed to get this for $90 at our local MicroCenter lol…: http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/34-phantom
Honestly I didn’t like that case that much, there were missing screws to hold the mobo in place…(it’s basically one of those show off cases, like the ones Alien make but cheaper…) But eh…he’s happy with it ![]()
I just got a standard $25 case from my local Microcenter along with everything in my build. I only spent $300 at most since I was on a budget, but if I had money to throw away I’d have totally gotten a cool case like that one. I only went AMD because, once again, I was on a budget and the Intel bundles are significantly more than the AMD. My processor, the AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, was only $60 when I bundled it with my Gigabyte motherboard that ended up being $10 ($70 total for both). I also got an open box video card for $75, although the built in ATI Radeon 3000 integrated are alright. Anyways, how much total did the computer come out to and what were it’s specs?
I probably will, I still don’t have the video card as I’m buying it from a friend and I’ve payed it off, but he won’t get his new card for another week. Once I get it, I’ll hit you up.
Wtf is a microcenter
A super cheap computer store, but I think there are only like 23 in the United States. I just happen to live like half a mile away from one.
:,(
It turned up to be $1000…
My friends got money to spend lol.
Um, as I recall it went a little something like this:
CPU: Intel i5 3570k
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 650
Hard Drive: Wester Digital (forgot which one), think he went with a 500or600GB
RAM: G.Skill 8GB DDR3
MotherBoard: Gigabyte Intel Z87 HDMI
Screen: idk…Hdmi screen that he got for $400…
And that’s it.
+Of course the side costs of a keyboard, mouse and headset
What a fucking waste of money on that monitor. My friend spent $1000 total on his and has a computer about 3x as good as that because he’s a budget builder. Still, nice build.
Lol he isn’t really good at saving his money.., I advised him to get a (MUCH) cheaper monitor, but he said that it was on “sale” or whatever, I didn’t see the price of it until it was delivered to his house xD… I also gave him one of my old monitors too and we hooked both up to do the dual-monitor thing which is pretty useful if you multitask (I would recommend it if you multitask a lot and have a monitor stuffed in your closet, like I do
), that old screen did look like shit next to the new one though.
I wish I just had monitors laying around… I’m using a shitty monitor currently and it’s made by Xerox. XD Going to switch to my Memorex 1080p monitor/TV. Also, yeah… I can tell he’s not very good at saving. lol
Yeah, I usually buy them cheap at the Microcenter (or ask friends) and build whatever I can or just keep them for future use. It doesn’t hurt to have a cheap monitor lying around ![]()
When I feel like building a computer I just open my closet and see what I can slap together. Then I go buy a good video card. Bam! Now I have another gaming computer.
Here is my monitor, it’s pretty sexy. Only $200 and it’s 24"

sweet
nothing like porn in 1080p
The only thing better is porn on a 4K HD monitor
I remember them making that first 4k HD monitor. It was right after I finally got a 1080p TV (which is my monitor, 47" 120hz) I think Samsung made it first, and it was like 100" screen because smaller size wouldn’t do the resolution.
that’s overkill; i don’t wanna see the pores on their skin
There was some great porn back in the lo-res era.
Just upgraded my computer…
I bought a new cpu liquid cooler, accidentally bent a pin on the cpu socket while installing it and somehow justified to myself it would be better to just buy a new cpu / motherboard then another mobo for my i7 sandy bridge.
Anyway… bought i7 4770k and msi z87 mpower for $475 on newegg. thought it was a good deal anyway.
Ive fixed a broken pin with a paperclip once. At least I think I fixed it.
Yeah, I was trying to fix it with a tiny needle but i’d bend one clip straight, and another one away. was getting very frustrating lol
