This is all very fascinating, I have some questions:
If the game you made is your brainchild, why not go indie with it? That’s what me and my friends did a long time ago, and we would have gotten away with it completely if we didn’t waste so much time that we all got bored and stopped.
What’s really going to happen now, today, if somebody tries to do something with the Graal name or the Graal engine? Is Unixmad going to come out of the woodwork to mess with them? Ignore for a moment whether he has any right to do so, or how big or small the project is. The question is whether he’d try it regardless.

You know, he wouldn’t do anything about it. I think all he cares about is money really. As long as he’s got power and money he’ll be occupied.

Well that and his cocaine habit.
I think anger is a very healthy thing so I do not fault anybody for being angry at unixmad however yours seems to be a bit more on the rage side which I see as not very healthy at all. I am really sympathetic towards the problems you have with unixmad as well as other things that may be going on with you.
I can’t speak for others but my intent in GR was a way to say “f u” to unixmad; however my initial intent has changed much since then. It’s changed to the extent that I now have a better appreciation for what Bomber did. The more I got to learn about the client and its flaws the more appreciate and admiration I’ve had for bomber. Business ethics wise both bomber and unixmad were very lacking and not a path I’d EVER choose however I have much appreciation for what bomber actually did back in the mid to late 90’s when creating graal. The hardest part in a project is getting or knowing when it’s done and bomber did exactly that he was 1 person who got a lot of things done. By far not ethical, not a path I would want to go down but for what he did it was a lot and in the mid/late 90’s was not a easy task to do. I carry the anger around for bomber and unixmad like all othesr who have wronged me but it’s only as a rather healthy reminder of what not to do/be.
