I’m planning on overclocking my AMD processor. My computer seems strong enough. Right now it’s at 3.00GHz, but I want to maybe get up to 4.50GHz if that’s possible. Basically anything faster than what I have right now would work. Currently I have no Graphics card, just integrated graphics set at 256MB. My motherboard is an ASRock A75M-HVS and it hasn’t given me any problems at the moment. Right now I have 8GB of RAM. Two 4GB pieces in separate slots with a max bandwidth speed of 667MHz. My fan seems to work nicely and the entire front of my case is for air intake. The fan runs smoothly and is always blowing out nice cool air. It nevers gets very loud. Also I was wondering if I was to get a graphics card how much Graphics memory should I get. By the way my current processor is an AMD A8-3870k running at 3.00GHz. Also I think 4.5GHz would be stupid, I’m thinking more around 3.4GHz, whatever stays at a safe temperature with the stock cooling.

anyway doesn’t overclocking wear out your CPU faster? It would be stupid to do it if you’re not going to need the extra GHz…
A lot of processors are actually built to overclock. If it isn’t getting very hot then it’s fine. Obviously I don’t what m processor melting. I want it to almost stay the exact same temperature because I’ve heard of processors only going up by 1 degree celcious at most when they’ve gone up by 0.6GHz and they only have stock cooling (drab that comes with the processor). I think I won’t need to overclock that badly when I get a new GPU unless it’s being bottlenecked.

That graphics card barely had any information. Also, if you’re buying a card, I’d recommend Nvidia. I know for what you do, something in the GTX 600 series would be nice. If your budget is still around $200, then you should go for the Nvidia GTX 760. Just make sure your case has enough room because it’s a really big card. I plan on getting the Nvidia GTX 650 1gb in a few weeks which is only around $130, but I’m getting it for $70 at a store near me.

To keep the forum going? Is it not better to have reasonable statements posted than none at all? Many of my posts are of substance. The size of the statement does not merit its weight. You and I both posted five word sentences above ^^^ Try not to be hard on somebody that truly cares for his community. You will lose people that way. Edited that post to make more sense ^^^. But yes, conversation pieces, points of interest…Whatever it may be. I post what I feel, whether its a few words or a few paragraphs. What I want to know is why is this bothering you? Maybe saying “They come and they go” leads somebody else into conversation. Perhaps they begin to quote scripture you know?

I would also like to point out that I don’t want to turn this into a “who has the bigger dick” contest. I’m a fair man with enough reason to last two lifetimes. I’m understanding and hard working. I know we don’t know eachother yet and there is a period in which I’ll have to prove my worth to the community. My problem is that I don’t have a lot of excess time. The time which I do have I like to spend in places like this. I loved OG Graal and have always thought of this place as a place for its true rebirth. On that note, I humbly request that you please don’t snatch away that little bit of joy I get from this website. We need to start understanding one anothers mechanics before a dumbass fight breaks out and another player leaves. This is community, were not all the same person but we are all bound by the same desire.
